Two Norries Podcast – Gambling

Two Norries and a Youghalie

Following on from my poem, Tunnel Vision, where I delved into the turmoil felt by gambling addiction; I was asked to come on to the fantastic Two Norries Podcast to speak about my experiences.

The Two Norries, James Leonard & Timmy Long, are from Knocknaheeny on the north side of Cork City. They are both in recovery from addiction and their podcast discusses many social issues and inequalities that exist in Ireland today. They’re also a beacon of hope and positivity for those who find themselves facing social and mental health issues.

I was honoured to be asked to speak to the lads about my own struggles with gambling and how I managed to find a way out of my addiction. I also performed my poem, Tunnel Vision towards the end of the podcast.

The podcast is now live on YouTube below. You can also listen on Tortoise Shack, Spotify, Apple or where ever you get your podcasts.

The reason I agreed to go on the podcast was to show anyone who may be struggling with gambling addiction that there is a way out and if you or a loved one find yourself in a similar situation; taking that first step will be the hardest, but it will also be the best thing you will ever do.

I’ll link support services here for anyone who any need them and if you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email or a message on social media.
